Armistead Boardman C/43, T/45 has published two volumes in the past year. The first is a book of essays, "Out of the Box Musings", and the other is an autobiography, "Amen: A Life of Affirmative Adventure".

William L. "Red" Hicks, Class of 1949 (College of Arts & Sciences) died on January 21, 2003. After graduating from Sewanee and working for the University for a year, he attended Virginia Theological Seminary and graduated in 1954. He served churches in North Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Arizona in his 37 years in the parish ministry. His two daughters, Mary Lawrence Hicks and Josephine Hicks, both attended Sewanee, graduating in 1980 and 1983, respectively. His Sewanee roommate, Fitz Allison, preached at his memorial service on January 24 in Pawleys Island, S.C. William Barnewll, C'60 has announced that he is retiring as Associate Rector for Outreach at Trinity Church in Boston. He and his wife, Corinne will be returning to New Orleans to resume their ministry there.

Chris Lambrecht, C'71, and his wife, had a son, born on May 28, 2002. His name is Alexander Walter Lambrecht and they will call him Alex.
Gnann Alvarez Moser, C '71, has been selected Valdosta City Schools Teacher of the Year for 2002-2003 and is now in the competition for the TOTY for the state of Georgia. Currently, she is the English Department Chair at Valdosta High School. Daughter Marie is a Sewanee Senior while son Ellis is a Georgia Tech Freshman.
Tim Turpen C'71, Bruce Bass C'71, Chip Ferris C'71, Herndon Inge C'71 and Seth Hancock, C'71 all have children who are freshmen at Sewanee.

Dr. Tom Smith (C'74) was named Superintendent of the Fluvanna County Public Schools as of August 10, 2002. Tom and Martha continue to live outside Charlottesville, Virginia with their five children. Of the five, Asa is a senior at the College of William and Mary, Bailey is a sophomore at Roanoke College, Zach is in 10th grade at Fluvanna High School, Alex is in 8th grade and Rachel is in 6th grade.
Laura Spaulding, C'74 retired from practicing law in 1997. She is now president of Yoga East, Inc. which operates two yoga schools in Louisville, KY. She was names Louisville's Best Yoga Teacher by Louisville Magazine in July 2002. Laura led a month-long yoga tour in June to Mysore, India, to studey with 88 year old yoga master, K. Pattabhi Jois.

Edward Harrison, C'75, is the Dean of St. John's Cathedral in Jacksonville, FL. He and his wife, Teresa Sanderson Harrison, C'77 have two children, Austin and Sarah. Austin is a freshman at Sewanee and Sarah is a senior at Episcopal High School.

Frost Brown Todd LLC is pleased to announce that M. Clark Spoden, C'77, has been named a Life Member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference. Mr. Spoden is a Partner in the Firm’s Nashville, Tennessee office.
This is an honor that comes upon the recommendation of Chief Judge Robert L. Echols. To become a Life Member, an attorney must have been named as a delegate three times to the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference by a Circuit or District Judge. To be eligible for serving as a delegate, "an attorney must have practiced in one or more federal courts of [the Sixth] Circuit in a manner that reflects integrity, honesty, capability and civility for at least five years" before being named as a delegate to the Conference. Further, the attorney "should have demonstrated a willingness to work to improve the judicial system."
Mr. Spoden has served on the Nashville Bar Association Fee Disputes Resolution Committee actively for the past five to six years. He has handled fee disputes, thus pulling them out of the court system. He produced and presented Trial Practice seminars for the Tennessee Bar Association and the Nashville Bar Association featuring trials in federal and state court. The purpose of the seminars was to help lawyers better serve their clients and the judiciary by being better trial lawyers. Mr. Spoden served for many years on the Nashville Bar Association Federal Courts Committee. Last year, he chaired one of the sessions for the Middle District of Tennessee at the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference.

Penny File's CD is Keep the Change which is part of his "kool kangeroo"
enterprise designed to use music to teach children a constructive way to
express emotions and encourage them to develop into nonviolent drug free

A new book by Justin Watson, C'79, entitled, The Martyrs of Columbine: Faith and the Politics of Tragedy, is being released in October 2002 by Palgrave Macmillian Publishers. Justin currently teaches in the Department of Religious Studies at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY.
Colonel Walter Douglas Givhan, C'79 was selected for a military fellowship at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City.

Christine Keyser-Ball, C'80 is the Director of Christian Formation at St. John's Cathedral in Jacksonville, Florida. She serves with the Very Reverend Edward Harrison, C'75, Dean of the Cathedral, and Ashley Denham, C'99, Director of Communications, in the Diocese of Florida. Christine and her husband, Bill, have two children, Charlie (14) and Hannah (12) and a foster child, Kameron (11). She is actively involved in community and urban outreach programs in downtown Jacksonville and serves on various committees for the National Episcopal Church.

Tom Wilkes is teaching Ancient History, AP English Rhetoric, American Lit., and Latin at St.
Andrew's on the Marsh, an up-and-coming private school in Savannah
Georgia. After many years of boarding school situations in New England ,
Texas, and North Carolina, he returned to Savannah to live and work with his
father in 1998 after the death of his sainted mother (his will bequests a
Sewanee scholarship in her name), and he returned to teaching this past year
at St. Andrew's. He love the school and the kids. He has recently
purchased a condominium downtown, in Savannah's historic district. "Lots of

David Terry, C'82, has a website at www.davidterryart.com and his art ranges from evocative landscapes and portraits to intricate montages of images. In addition to Terry's work in Fine Art, he illustrates regularly for a number of national magazines and newspapers. Since 1997, he has completed 15 published bookcovers, many advertising pieces, and numerous privately commissioned works.

Sallie Mae (NYSE: SLM), the nation’s leading provider of education funding, today announced that John F. (Jeff) Whorley, C'83, has been promoted to executive vice president, debt management. Whorley previously served as senior vice president of debt management operations. He will continue to be based in Summerlin, Nev., headquarters of Sallie Mae’s debt management operations. Whorley was instrumental in managing the acquisitions of Pioneer Credit Recovery, Inc. and General Revenue Corporation in January 2002. These acquisitions served to expand and diversify Sallie Mae's in-house expertise in the area of student-loan delinquency and default prevention services. Whorley currently oversees student loan default and delinquency resolutions and default recovery efforts at the company's facilities in Indiana, Nevada, New York and Ohio.
Whorley joined Sallie Mae in 2000, when the company purchased the assets of the former USA Group. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of the South and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis. Whorley will continue to report to Thomas J. (Tim) Fitzpatrick, president and chief operating officer.
R. Stan Runnels T'83 accepted a Merrill Fellowship at Harvard for the Fall semester of 2002. He continues as rector at St. John's Episcopal Church in Laurel, MS. He has three daughters: Laura, a rising junior at Yale, Erin, a freshman at the University of Tennessee, and Sarah, 8th grade.

Ned Murray, C'84, has been selected as the Headmaster for the Episcopal Day School
in Augusta, GA. He and his wife Lucy Patterson Murray (daughter of Dr.
Brown Patterson) and their two sons, Miller (age 6), and Evan (age 3), will
move to Augusta in July. The Episcopal Day School was established in 1944
by the Church of the Good Shepherd and serves children from age three

Elizabeth Brown Moore, C'84, and her husband Chris, welcomed a daughter, Helen Geirardeau Moore on February 17, 2002. Big sister, Catherine is three years old.

Charles Elmore, C'85, has won national recognition for writing with a
2003 National Headliner Award from the Press Club of Atlantic City. The
prizes, awarded since 1935, recognize the most outstanding journalism in
the nation's broadcast networks, magazines and newspapers. Elmore, a
columnist and reporter for The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post, won in the sports
category for stories on pole vaulting deaths, the NFL's endorsement of
unsportsmanlike video games, the business of baseball, and tennis star
Serena Williams. Elmore is married to the former Jenifer Bobo (C'88) and
they have two daughters, Holly and Shelby.

Sheri Morton Stanley, C'85, has started her own business - "The Headless
Ladies" - designing and sewing tote bags, purses, and jewelry. http://hometown.aol.com/headlessladies/mainpage.html. It's about a
year old, now, and doing very well, with the bags being carried in
bookstores and gift shops.
Also, she is quite proud to say that their (husband is John K. Stanley, Jr, C'84)
daughter, Rowan (age 9) said the other day "When I go to Sewanee..." They've
taught our son Jack (age 2) to say "Go, Tigers!" Now to find a way to
finance it.
In addition to regular congenial occupations as husband, father, and
State Botanical Garden of Georgia employee, Will Tonks, C'85 still plays music, makes
records, and plays shows. To that end, the band he's been with for
five-plus years, Barbara Cue, has just released its second record, an
11 song collection entitled “Ditch Lily.” This band is a little side
project for all five guys, as everyone’s full-time obligations are
rather extensive. (the drummer plays in a little Athens outfit called
Widespread Panic) They are playing a handful of shows to celebrate, and
their website (www.barbaracue.com)has tidbits of information and links to other cool things.
In April of 2002, Joe Royal C'85 and Joe Liles C'86 participated in an Episcopal Relief and Development mission to Belize. While they were representing St. Andrew's Episcopal (Yardley, PA), they gave Belize the "Yea, Sewanee's Right" attitude.

Gene Snead, C'86 is a Quality Engineer at TEPRO INC in Winchester, TN and is serving his first term as Councilman in the Winchester City Government. Kerry McCarthy, C'87, launched McCarthy Arts Consulting, a company that provides non-profit visual and performing arts organizations with planning and communications services, in 2000. She is a current participant in Leadership New York.
Margot (a.k.a. Lisa) Heard Clarke and husband Kevin are living in Dallas and have 2
children: Lucy,4, and Hugh, 3. Kevin is director of music at the Episcopal
Church of the Incarnation; Margot has a new job teaching English at St. Pius
X Catholic School.

The Savannah College of Art and Design announces that Anne Swartz, c'87, art history professor, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture at Kyoritsu Women’s University, Japan’s Women’s University and Tsuda College, all located in Tokyo, Japan during the 2002-2003 academic year. Swartz’s lecture is titled “Ecology, Technology and the Female: Recent Critical Trends in Contemporary American Art.”

Ritchie Prince, C'88, is living in Battles Wharf/Pt. Clear, Alabama and is working as an attorney in Mobile. He married Laura Berg on 3/15/97 and they have two children. Their son, John Ritchie Macpherson Prince, Jr. was born on 7.23.99 and daughter Sydney Clare Prince was born on 8.9.02.
Ted Raynor, C'88, was recently promoted by Hilton Hotels Corporation to the position of Vice President and Senior Litigation Counsel.

on March 15, 2002. Matthew was welcomed to the family by his sisters, Mary

Sims Boulware Bulluck Class of 89 and her husband Matthew Bulluck had a baby
girl on June 11th 2002, Diana McCullough Bulluck. She was 6 lbs 14 ounces
and 19 1/2 inches. She has an older brother, Jim Bulluck who is ten and an
older sister Carson Bulluck who is six. They live in Winston-Salem, North

Wendy Urbanski Crace and her husband David live in Katy, TX. They have two daughters Madelyne 3 and Savanah who just turned one Dec. 14, 2002. Wendy stays at home and David works as rigging engineer for Bechtel.

Eric Love C'89 is in the final year of his doctorate in Theatre at the Univ. of Missouri. He is directing the off-Broadway premiere of TRASH, a new play, through a program with Mizzou called “Mizzou on Broadway.” As a long-laboring stage director, he is delighted to finally direct in Manhattan. Performance dates are September 14th at 2 and 8 pm.
Stan Rogers, C'89 and his wife, Lee had a son, John Stanley Rogers III in Nashville on June 26, 2002. They will call him "Trey" and will live in Manchester where Stan is an institutional money manager with The Jumper Group.

Rex Elliott, C'90, has moved to Portland, OR where he works for Nike, Inc. at their corporate office. He spends his free time meandering around the Cascade mountains and Columbia River Gorge. year birthday of their twin daughters, Mary and Clara, on October 10.

Elizabeth Temple McConnel, C'91 had a son, William Blair McConnel born February 15, 2002. He weighed 10 pounds. Elizabeth and her husband, Bruce, and Will live in San Francisco.

Nicholas C. Albanese, C '92, is currently in Bloomington, Indiana, teaching Italian at Indiana
University and working on a Ph.D. in Italian Literature. He is finishing up his coursework and will be starting on his dissertation in the fall.
Mercedes Boyle Abramo, C'92, her husband, Matthew, and son Quentin (almost 3), have been living in Strasbourg, France for two years, where Matt is the Director of Marketing - Europe for the Steelcase Design Partnership. Mercedes just finished her MBA in International Luxury Brand Management at ESSEC Business School in Paris. They are expecting their second child in early February 2003.
Jennifer Dye Boyle and Stephen Boyle, both class of 1992, had a baby boy on May 17, 2002. Thomas was welcomed by his big brother Patrick who turned 2 on May 4th. Stephen is a programming manager at Blackbaud in Charleston SC and Jennifer works part-time from home doing accounting.

Peter Adams, C'92 lives in Los Angeles, CA. His band, "eastmountainsouth", was recently signed to Dreamworks Records by Robbie Robertson (of "The Band"). The recording will begin in September. Look for the CD to be released early next year.

Dineo Skwambane, C'92 started a new job in January 2002 in Venture Capital with the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) - South Africa.

Jeff Muench recently moved to Chicago to work for Quaker Oats/Frito-Lay doing brand management marketing in the Convenienece Foods division. He works on the Quaker Fruit & Oatmeal brand of cereal bars, Bites, & Toastables.
Susan Elaine Mueller, C'93, married Al Mew on January 11, 2003, in Roanoke, Virginia. They honeymooned in Charleston, SC, and had a wonderful time! Susan continues to work with the City of Roanoke in Economic Development and Al is a computer engineer for Johnson and Johnson. The couple lives in Roanoke, VA, and look forward to attending Susan's ten year class reunion in 2003.
Robin Springer (Snyder) and her husband, Rich, are the proud parents of a daughter, Eleanor Frances (Ella), who was born on February 18, 2002. They reside in Portland, Oregon. Robin also works on community quality of life issues as a Neighborhood Based Deputy District Attorney with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
On Tuesday, November 5, George Wilson Macon V, was born in Charlotte, NC to Molly Toole, C'93 and George Macon.

Sarah Metzgar, C'94, has moved to Chattanooga, TN and works for Daniel+DouglasL+Norcross Advertising Agency. She is the proud owner of a new dog.

Michael Terrell, C'95 will graduate in December from Michigan Law School and either move to London or Washington, D.C. This summer, he will work at a law firm in London in May and then spend the rest of the summer at the Department of Justice in D.C.
Laura Wylie de Fiallos and her husband, David Fiallos, had their first baby, "Juan José" Fiallos,
January 2, 2003. He was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras (where they live)
and weighed 9 lbs 13 oz at birth.
Laura originally came to Honduras in 1995 on a Sewanee Springbreak Outreach Trip
with Jim and Cheri Peters. She returned to Honduras after graduating from
Sewanee to teach at an Episcopal school.
She is currently taking a leave of absence from teaching Pre-Kindergarten at
La Escuela Internacional Sampedrana to be with her son. She is also earning her
Masters in Education from Framingham University through a distance program.

The new family resides in Chattanooga, where Jason teaches French at Chattanooga State. Jennifer is taking time off from her journalism career to stay home with Max. Jordana Tonn Adams C'95 and Justin Adams C'98 returned from their year in
Fairbanks, AK unfrozen and are now in Nashville, where Justin is working
for Trauger, Ney and Tuke and Jordana is staying home with their
kids. Jordana, Justin and their almost three-year old son George welcomed
the arrival of the new baby in the family, Philippa Jane on September 28, 2002.
Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP, announced that Elizabeth H. Foss, C'95, has joined the firm as an Associate and will practice in the firm’s Nashville office.
Foss, who earned her J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, concentrates her practice in the area of labor and employment. Prior to joining Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, Foss served as an Associate for Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Jenny Johnson ('95) and her husband, Stewart Middendorf, are proud to announce the birth of their son, Ryan Johnson Middendorf, on January 16, 2002. Susan Baskett is still living in Dublin, Ireland (where she moved after graduating from
Sewanee) and for the last few years she has been working in the design industry.
She is working for a global company, Enterprise IG, which is the world's largest
branding consultancy. She is an Account Manager/Client Services Manager looking
after the design and branding projects in the company. She was back in the USA
last summer to go white-water rafting in the Grand Canyon and also to visit Las
Vegas and Seattle.
Skye Howell Henley C96 is an actress in NYC. Recently she appeared at HERE theatre in Soho with Montgomery Maguire C96 in an original piece he wrote called Rheubs. Skye currently finances her theatre career with a side career in business development for the medical consulting software company she used to manage in Seattle. She sees Dan Rigazzi C97? regularly at Michael Howard Studios. Skye recently celebrated the marriage of Linda Latchford c96 and Ben Nelson T02 with a whole passel of gorgeous Sewanee babes from our class.
Jim Henley C96 is a hydrogeologist focused on groundwater transport modeling for an environmental consulting firm in Princeton, NJ. He lives in NYC with Skye and their two wild terriers Tilly & Jack.

Michael Jarrett, C'96 is writing songs in Austin, Texas and performing wherever he can. He is expecting his second album to be out by the end of the year.
Stephanie Shepherd, C'96 is working at Oregon Cave National Monument in the Resource Management division. She resides in Cave Junction, Oregon.
Class of 1997
Bonnie Smith, C'97 has accepted a faculty position in the English department at Belmont University in Nashville. In May, she will complete her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and will move to the south this summer.

Katherine Davis Welden c'97 and Matthew Welden c'99 had their first son, William Chandler on January 9, 2003. Mother and baby are doing great. Matthew is still enjoying his job as an equity trader for TRUSCO Capital in Atlanta, and Katherine has retired from Merrill Lynch to stay home with the new baby.
Betsy Pollett C'97 lives in Dallas, TX working as a school psychologist for Highland Park Independent School District. She is getting married this coming June.

Katie Cavert, C'97, recently returned from Nicaragua where she spent 2 years working as an environmental educator for the Peace Corps. She is moving to Asheville, NC to pursue a job using her acquired spanish skills and to enjoy the hiking trails in the area.
Jim Uden, C'97 and Shae Whittington were married in All Saints' Chapel in Sewanee on August 17, 2002. Jim works in Nashville with Gentry Barden, C'83 at McDonald Investments doing Investment Banking.
Class of 1998
Elizabeth Mayo '98 is currently living in Atlanta, GA. She works in tax
accounting at Wilson LLP and recently passed the CPA exam. She is working
towards completing her Masters in Accounting at Georgia State University.
Justin Adams C'98 finished his clerkship with Judge Andrew Kleinfeld of the
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in August. He and his wife Jordana, C' 95,
and their son George moved from Alaska back to Nashville. Their daughter
Philippa Jane was born September 28. Justin is now working for the law
firm of Trauger, Ney and Tuke. George and Pippa Adams
Sara Anderson C'98 has moved from Memphis back to Nashville and just received her M.Ed. in Human Resource Development from Vanderbilt University. She has recently gotten engaged and will be married to Drew Donahoe (Ole Miss C'99) in Nashville on August 16, 2003.
Emily Zoghby (’98) is in her 5th year teaching Spanish and advising the
yearbook at Stratford Academy in Macon, GA.
Robert Holloway (’98) earned his Masters in English from the Breadloaf
School of English in Middlebury, VT in August 2002. He is currently
teaching at Washington Irving Middle School in Springfield, VA.
Bret and LeAnn (Foss) Alexander (both ’98) are happily married and have
recently moved into their first home in Chattanooga, TN. Bret currently
practices law, and LeAnn teaches Spanish.
Josh Reams (’98) and his wife Julie Terry Reams recently celebrated their
first wedding anniversary. He is currently applying to different family
practice residency programs throughout the Southeast.
Stephen Fulton (’98) is now interviewing for residency programs for the
coming fall. He will soon be spending a month in Germany to visit family.
Mary Bertha (Godwin) Zorn (’98) is happily married to Jamey Zorn and living
in Greenville, AL. Mary Bertha is a stay at home mom and is running a
smocking and heirloom sewing shop. Her son Isaac turns one in January, and
her daughter Elli will be three in February.
Erin (Grossman) Otto (’98) married Dani Otto on August 3, 2002. They are
very happy and living in Frederick, MD.
Danny and Katrina (Nelson) Lacher (both ’98) are happily married and
currently living in Massachusetts. Katrina will be receiving her Masters in
American History in May 2003 from Boston College.
Douglass J. Adair, C'98, has been promoted to assistant branch manager and made an officer
of SouthTrust Bank in Birmingham, Alabama. He has worked for the
bank for over a year and has lived in Birmingham for four years.
Sara Anderson, C'98 is currently living in Memphis, TN and will graduate in December from Vanderbilt University with a Masters in Human Resource Development. She will begin working at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art in December on development of The Art of Good Taste, their wine auction fundraiser.
Laura Rinker C'98 married James McDaniel (Rhodes C'94) on August 10, 2002. They reside in Atlanta.
Emily Allendburger, C'98, graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi College in August with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. She has been designated a National Certified Counselor and has just accepted a job at the Mississippi State Hospital working in the area of chemical addiction.
Blake Haney, C'98, is currently President and Art Director of a graphic design studio in New Orleans, LA called Whence: the studio. Blake is also founder and director fo a non-profit organization called New Breed New Orleans.
Frank Pratt III, C'98 has started work on his Masters degree in social work at the University of Georgia. He is attending the part-time program in Lawrenceville, GA and will continue to work at his father's psychiatric practice with his wife, Olivia Williford Pratt, C'01. Thad Thompson, C'98 is pursuing an MBA at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He has also been recording with two Atlanta bands, The Shut-Ups and The Futuristics, both of whom will have albums out later this year.

Auburn Daily is in her second year of a four-year program, earning a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from Georgetown University. She hopes to practice health care-related law in Washington, D.C. upon graduation.
Sarah Jean Downey, c'99, married James Tindal Acken, C'95, on September 28th (2002) in Flat Rock, NC. They are both working on PhD's in medieval studies at the University of Toronto.
Drew Sturtevant C'98 and Catharine Mebane C'99 were married at Christ Church Episcopal in Greenville, SC on August 10, 2002.
Dutch Horchem, C'99 recently
relocated to New York from Dallas to pursue further professional
opportunities with TMP Worldwide while searching for the perfect martini.
Otherwise, he will also be entering the Stern School of Business at NYU in
the spring of 2003 and working toward an MBA.
Katy Shannon, C'99, recently moved to Cedar City, UT where she is working on her MFA in Arts Administration while working for the Tony-Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival.
Jon Morris, C'99, helped create and perform in over 8 shows last season with the renonwned Theatre de la Jeune Lune in Minneapolis, MN, including a creation piece on Marco Polo, Eduardo Manet's "The Nuns", and a national tour of Pulcinella with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. He is excited to be moving to New York City in October.
Ashley Denham, C'99, recently moved from Seattle, WA to Jacksonville, FL where she now serves as Director of Communications at St. John's Cathedral in the Diocese of Florida. She is will attend graduate school at Florida State University in the fall of 2003 to get her Masters Degree in English literature.
Andrew Phelps, C'99 and Hannah Love Phelps, C'99 were married on June 1, 2002 at the Chapel of Apostles in Sewanee. They are in Charlottesville, VA where Hannah is working on a PhD in philosophy at the University of Virginia.

John Thompson ('00) will graduate from NYU Law School in May, and will start work in the litigation section of Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P., in Dallas, TX. His wife Sara (Smetzer '00) is about to finish her first year at Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine. John and Sara recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
Hilary Larsen has returned to Denver, Colorado after graduation and is pursuing her Masters
in Medical Anthropology at the University of Colorado at Denver. She also has
a full-time job working for Tri-County Health Department developing
culturally sensitive public health programs for the Denver metro area. She
hopes to graduate with my MA in December of 2003.

Garry Finke (’00) is in his 3rd year of medical school at University of
Tennessee in Memphis.
Michelle Shetters Gaines, C'00 is married and living with her husband John Gaines in the home they purchased in Lubbock, Texas. She is currently enrolled in the counseling psychology Ph.D. program at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Katie Nard, C'00, just moved to Decatur, GA. She works as a photographer's
assistant for a local photographer, and also at Aurora Coffeehouse. She
lives in a duplex with Chris Boehme ('99) and next door to Christian Cutler
('97).
Ken Leonczyk C'00, graduated from Yale University with a Master's degree and Berkeley Divinity School at Yale with a degree in Anglican Studies in May 2002. He is currently serving as the School Minister and Chairman of the Religion Department at Trinity-Pawling School - an all-boys, Episcopal boarding school in Dutchess County, New York.

Laura Cook, C'01 married Troy Eichenberger, C'02 on March 1, 2003. They live in Chattanooga, TN.
John Schmick, C'01, is living in Baltimore Maryland and teaching freshman English and History at the Gilman School.
Stephanie Jowers finished an MA with Middlebury's Language School in Paris in June 2002. Since then she has been teaching French at Coosa Valley Academy in Alabama. In September 2002, she took and passed the Foreign Service Exam and is now looking forward to sitting for the Oral Assessment phase of testing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, in March, which could lead to a job with the State Department in the Consular Services division. Otherwise, she is applying to graduate schools to pursue a PhD in French literature.

Meghan Anne Rogg Cathey, C'02, was married in All Saints' Chapel to Matthew Edward Cathey, C'98. They live in Knoxville, TN.
Sarah Shellman, C'02, is a high school and middle school Spanish teacher at St. Andrew's school in Savannah. She is also coaching the 5th-6th grade volleyball team. Sarah works with two other Sewnaee alums, Chris Mason and Tom Wilkes.
